About the event
This is a silent film with live piano accompanient. A classic Charlie Chaplin comedy straight from the 1920s about a gold prospector in Alaska who struggles to survive the elements and win the heart of a dance hall girl.
Jordan Klapman will once again be joining us in-house to brifly discuss the importance of live music in early cinema presentations of silent films, followed by a performance as he improvises a jaunty soundtrack to this famed film.
